WILDFLOWER WALKS​

There is always something interesting to find blooming on the sandsage prairie. Guided tours to explore this unique and diverse prairie ecosystem are available by reservation. These tours are subject to volunteer availability, please request tours several days in advance of the desired date.
PUBLIC EVENTS​

The friends group offers a variety of public programs on Saturdays during the Spring and Summer. Bison, birds, bugs, plants and all of the interesting animals that make up the sandsage prairie get their time in the spotlight. Come out and experience this unique place! EVENTS AT THE REFUGE
GUIDED BISON TOURS

Personal tours to see the bison herd are offered between March 2 and October 31 each year. Tours may be scheduled in advance by phone between 8am and 5pm on weekdays. Larger groups will require the use of a trailer and a minimum donation of $20 allows the friends group to continue offering these tours. Tours are subject to volunteer availability so it is recommended to request your tour at least a few days in advance of the requested date.
